There are two ways of formation of adverbs of manner:
1. From the positive, comparation or superlative form of descriptive adjectives: blago, brže, najbrže, teže, najteže.
Dijete se igra veselo. - The child is playing happy. (In what way the child is playing?)
Veselo dijete se igra. - The happy child is playing. (How child is playing?)
The adverbs of manner differ from adjectives in singular of neuter gender. In this form adjectives respond to the question kakvo? (In what way?), and adverbs respond to the question kako? (How?).
2. From the possessive adjective with endings in -ski
Govorimo hrvatski. - We speak Croatian. (How?) - adverb
Naš jezik je hrvatski. - Our language is Croatian. (Which one?) - adjective
