How to ask for directions in Spanish
Podría is the polite form of the infinitive poder (to be able to).

How to give directions
The verbs seguir (to continue), girar (to turn) and cruzar (to cross) are given in the polite imperative form.

Giving directions in Spanish example
Dialogue 1
Kristina: ¿Cómo puedo ir al centro de la ciudad? How do I get to the city center?
Fransisco: Cruce la calle, gire a la derecha, cruce de nuevo, gire a la izquierda y ya estará allí. Cross the street, turn on the right, cross again, turn on the left and you´ll be there.
Kristina: ¡Gracias! Thank you!
Dialogue 2
Anna: ¿Cómo puedo ir a este barrio? How do I get to this neighnorhood?
Martin: Siga todo recto, gire a la izquerda, cruce la calle y ya estará allí. Go straight, turn on the left, cross the street and you´ll be there.
Anna: ¡Gracias! Thank you!
