Ordering food phrases

In Spanish you can say "I would like" using expressions such as: "Quería", "Me gustaría". For politeness you can also use "Podría" which means "Could I".

Camarero: ¿Ha elegido ya? Did you choose already?

Carmen: Una sopa, ¡por favor! One soup, please!

Camarero: Bueno. Good.

Carmen: ¡Gracias! Thank you!

Dialogue 2

Paco: ¿Cuál es la oferta para hoy? What is the offer of the day?

Camarero: Plato de verduras y cerveza. Plate of vegetables and beer.

Pedro: Quería un plato de verduras, por favor. I would like a plate of vegetables, please.

Paco: Para mi, también. For me, too.

Camarero: Muy bien. OK.
