When to use the inessive case in Estonian?

The inessive case (seesütlev kääne in Estonian) indicates location inside a space or object. It answers the questions kus? 'where?', kelles? 'in(side) whom?', milles? 'in(side) what?'. 

The inessive usually corresponds to the English prepositions 'in' and 'inside' but sometimes it may be translated in other ways.

• Me elame külas. --- We live in a village.
• Uudised on inglise keeles. --- The news are in English.
• Ma olen mures. --- I am worried (lit: in worry).
• Nad on abielus. --- They are married (lit: in marriage).

How to form the inessive case?

The ending -s is added to the genitive form of a word.
