The Turkish articles, "the, a, and an" are crucial in order to learn the language. The Turkish articles refer the noun in terms of definiteness or indefiniteness. Generally, the articles specify the grammatical definiteness of the noun.

The definite article “the” does not exist in the Turkish language. The accusative suffix ( ‑i ‑ı ‑u ‑ü) is used to state the definite form (the).
Essentially, the declesion -i is not an article. No need to use the articles in the Turkish language.

The Turkish language has no separate word equivalent to the English definite article ‘the.’ You may be understood with or without ‘the’ by examples.
