The Bulgarian keyboard - how to type Cyrillic letters

Now that you have started learning Bulgarian you would most probably want to write messages and send e-mails. With this lesson we will make it easy for you to learn how to use the Bulgarian keyboard.

Learning the Bulgarian keyboard is not so difficult task. If you take a look at it you will notice that it is phonetical - most of the letters in Bulgarian and English that have the same sound are on one and the same button. Notice the letter and sound "A", "B" or "P" for example. Pretty easy, right?

Steps how to install it on Windows:

1. Open control panel
2. Double click on "Regional and Language options"
3. Go to the language tab
4. Click on the details button and new window will open
5. Use the add button
6. Finf the Bulgarian phonetic kyeboard
7. Click on the "OK" button and then click "Save"

How to type special characters on the Bulgarian keyboard?

As you see, some of the most used symbols are present in the Bulgarian keyporad. You just have to click on "Shift" and the button you want:

• Shift + 1:  !
• Shift + 2: @
• Shift + 3: №
• Shift + 4: $
• Shift +5: %
• Shift + 6: €
• Shift + 7: §
• Shift + 8: *
• Shift + 9: (
• Shift + 0: )

It is the same when you want to write a capital letter - you just press first "Shift" and then the letter you need to be capital.
