It is very important to learn those by heart, as they represent the base of the following numbers.
Slovak suffix "-násť" is equivalent to English "-teen". However, "-násť" is used already from number 11 (compared to English, starting from 13-thirteen).
We pronounce the words this way: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
How to say number from 11-19? Only add the affix "-násť" to the numbers from 1-9. There are some small changes in the highlighted words you need to pay attention to:

You can check the table below to see how the numbers look. General rule is to add the affix "-dsať" (20, 30, 40) or "-desiat" (50, 60, 70, 80, 90).

Here is an example how to create numbers from 21-29 and the rule applies for all other tens.
We pronounce the words this way: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29.
Note that the numbers are written together, without space or dash.
