Here is the conjugation of the verb to be! You need to remember this, as it is very important in creating the future tense of imperfective verbs!
Person | Verb | |
---|---|---|
Singular | 1. I (ja) | budem |
2. you (ty) | budeš | |
3. he, she, it (on, ona, ono) | bude | |
Plural | 1. we (my) | budeme |
2. you (vy) | budete | |
3. they (oni, ony) | budú |
Note that if you want to make a negation, remember to add the prefix ne- in front of the verbs. (ne-budem)
To create the future tense of imperfective verbs you need to conjugate the verb "byť" in future tense and add the infinitive of the verb. For example:
future tense of byť + infinitive of the main verb
Remember when to use the form: the actions will not be completed, or we simply do not know whether they will be completed.
The Perfective verbs are have the same form in present and future. Therefore, you do not need to change anything. Let's see some examples:
present tense of perfective verbs = future tense of perfective verbs
Remember when to use the form: all of the actions will be completed.
Be careful on the verb ísť (to go) as it is imperfective, but in the future tense it is conjugated in perfective form:
