Sign up for freeAfter you learned the lesson about the Slovak alphabet, it is time to have a look at the Slovak keybord. In this lesson you will learn how to type all those strange special letters of Slovak alphabet.
First of all, switch your keyboard to Slovak. Here is the picture of how Slovak keyboard looks.
As you can see, when writing lowercase letters, you can use keys on a keyboard.

š | number 3 |
č | number 4 |
ť | number 5 |
ž | number 6 |
ý | number 7 |
á | number 8 |
í | number 9 |
ú | right from "P" |
ä | right next to "ú" |
ô | right from "L" |
ň | three keys from "L" |
There is a letter, not appeared on a keyboard and you need to type is with combination of keys.

When writing capital letters, you need to use the key ˇ',
where ˇ is written with shift and the key above, and ' is written simply by pressing the key.
Example:
Exceptions are capital letters Ô and Ä. In usual conversation you will never use those capital letters, as they always appear in the middle of words. However, it is good to know how to type them.
