Singular form
en-form | ett-form | en-form | ett-form | ||
My | min | mitt | Our | vår | vårt |
Your | din | ditt | your | er | ert |
His | hans | hans | their | deras | deras |
Her | hennes | hennes |
Important Note! that these pronouns can also mean ''mine, yours, his, hers, ours and 'theirs''.

Why do we say "mitt brev" (my letter), but "min examen" (my exam) and "mina intressen" (my interests?). The reason behind it is that possessive pronouns agree with the nouns that they belong to, they have the following forms.
Singular | Plural | ||
---|---|---|---|
(en-words) | (ett-words) | ||
ex: | en mamma | ett lexikon | kompisar |
(jag) | min mamma | mitt lexikon | mina kompisar |
(du) | din mamma | ditt lexikon | dina kompisar |
(han) | hans mamma | hans lexikon | hans kompisar |
(hon) | hennes mamma | hennes lexikon | hennes kompisar |
(den, det) | (dess) | (dess) | (dess) |
(vi) | vår mamma | vårt lexikon | våra kompisar |
(ni) | er mamma | ert lexikon | era lexikon |
(de) | deras mamma | deras lexikon | deras lexikon |
