An adverbial phrase is a construction of two or more words that act as an adverb.

Qua (Here) and Là (There) could merge with Su (Up) and Giù (Down).
As a consequence, the first consonant of Su or Giù is doubled.
Also, the stress of the word moves to the very last vowel.
